Privacy Policy — Finance Duck

Finance Duck (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a personal income and expense tracker. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What data we collect

The app only stores the information you choose to enter, plus what is needed to sign you in:

• Account information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a user identifier from Google to create your account. We do not receive your Google password.
• Financial information you enter: transactions (amounts, dates, categories), savings goals, your net-worth figure, and typical monthly savings.
• Profile settings: your display name and preferred currency.

We do not collect your location, contacts, device identifiers for advertising, or browsing activity. The app contains no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking.

How your data is stored

• Your data is stored locally on your device as the primary copy.
• If you are signed in, your data is also synced to a secure cloud database (Supabase) so it is backed up and available across installs. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is protected so that only your authenticated account can access it.
• If you use the app without signing in (“guest mode”), your data stays on your device only and is not sent to the cloud.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the app’s features: recording and displaying your finances, tracking goals, and syncing across your devices. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than operating the app.

Data sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except for the service providers strictly required to run the app:

• Google — for sign-in authentication.
• Supabase — for secure cloud storage of your data.

These providers process data only to deliver their service to you.
